Coway Aquamega 100’s water purification system reduces the amount of contaminants in using triple filtration technology. The set of filters is composed of sediment, pre-carbon and post-carbon water filters. The first stage is a sediment water filter, reduces larger particles including sand, rust, turbidity and cyst. The second stage is a pre-carbon water filter that reduces chlorine, chloramine and VOCs, along with remaining sand, rust turbidity and cyst. The third stage is a post-carbon water filter that reduces mercury and lead, in addition to remaining sand, rust, turbidity, cyst, chlorine, chloramine and VOCs. Combined, the triple-filtration technology effectively reduces ten contaminants by up to 99.9 percent.*
